He's her brother's best friend. But from the very first moment Beth lays eyes on him, she can't stop. She can't stop herself from staring at him, from laughing with him, from gravitating towards him. But when Dominic gets too close, and the tiny seaside town they grew up in starts to suffocate her, Beth runs. She runs from the place she grew up in, the people that know her too well, and the boy who she can't shake even after all these years.

Beth can't avoid going home forever though, so when she finally returns years later, she's not sure what to expect.

She quickly learns that while a lot of things change, the most important things stay the same, and no matter how much love remains in a place or person, sometimes love just isn't enough.
